If we’re committed to leading God’s people into a deeper ‘prayer culture’ in our church, it must start with our own personal prayer life. We can’t expect others to embrace what we haven’t fully wrestled with ourselves. The truth is simple: we cannot take a ministry any deeper into prayer than we have personally gone. Leadership begins with the priorities we model, not just the ones we ask others to follow.

How can our ministry make prayer more than a program? To develop a church-wide culture of prayer, focus on leadership modelling, practical resources and training, integrating prayer into daily church life through consistent rhythms and special events, and fostering a collective responsibility for a "house of prayer".
