CONSTITUTIONS

LOCAL CHURCH CONSTITUTION

Affiliated churches are encouraged to utilize the Local Church Constitution template found on the PAOC website as the governing constitution and by-laws of the church. This document can be customized for a local church by following the instructions included at the beginning of the document. Churches that wish to be governed by a governing document other than the Local Church Constitution template or wish to make amendments other than those approved at the biennial General Conference of The PAOC must seek approval from the ABNWT District.  Request for approval should be submitted in advance of presenting the constitution or constitutional amendments to the congregation for approval.

DISTRICT CONSTITUTION

The District Constitution & Bylaws is the governing document of the Alberta & NWT District.

GENERAL CONSTITUTION

The General Constitution & By-Laws is the governing document of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.

CHURCH NAME CHANGE

A change to the name of a church may be a constitutional change and require appropriate procedures and paperwork. Download the Church Name Change Procedure and the Church Name Change Form. Contact the District to review options.

BETTER TOGETHER

Simply put, we are better together. When we choose to embrace a shared vision and mission, we know that our own local church is living out the Great Commission. Together, we are making disciples in our Jerusalem (locally), in our Judea (districts and regionally), in our Samaria (across our nation and through Mission Canada) and to the outermost parts of the earth (through our International Missions endeavours).

Truly, we are better together.
