Let’s Gather in Banff — You Belong Here

One of the best parts of ministry is the people we get to walk with. And one of the hardest parts of ministry is – the people we walk with. You know exactly what I mean because you’re living it every week.

That’s why gatherings like Ministers Gathering 2026 are so important. We don’t gather just to fill a calendar. We gather because ministry is better when we are together.

From February 9-12, 2026, leaders from across our District will gather in Banff for a time of connection, worship, rest, encouragement, and vision under the theme “Limitless Call.” And I want to personally invite you to be part of it.

Not as an attendee. As family.

Why This Gathering Matters for Every Leader

Every leader I talk to describes some version of the same reality:

“You’re expected to carry a lot.”
“You often pour out more than you take in.”
“You lead through seasons that feel overwhelming.”
“You want to stay faithful, but you also need refilling.”

That’s why gatherings like this are not optional extras for leaders. They’re essential rhythms.

We gather to:

  • refuel

  • reconnect

  • restore perspective

  • rediscover joy

  • remember the call

  • and remind one another that we’re not alone

The beauty of Ministers Gathering is that it creates space for all of this, not through pressure or programming, but through presence and people.

The Gift of Being Together

Let’s be honest: ministry can feel isolating. Even when surrounded by people, we can still feel like we’re carrying things no one else sees or understands.

But when we gather with leaders who share our calling, something shifts. Walls come down. Encouragement rises. Hope gets repaired. Faith is strengthened. Joy returns.

We need each other not just in theory, but in reality.

We need hallway conversations that surprisingly turn into prayer moments. We need shared meals where laughter outshines stress. We need worship where no one is “on duty.” We need voices around us reminding us of who we are and who called us.

Ministers Gathering offers exactly that.

Why Banff? Because the Setting Matters.

There’s a reason Jesus often withdrew to the mountains to pray. There’s something about the landscape, quiet, vast, still, that helps us slow down enough to pay attention again.

Banff is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and gathering there isn’t just scenic, it’s spiritually strategic.

Surrounded by mountains, we’re reminded:

God is bigger.
God is present.
God is faithful.
God is working in ways we can’t always see.

The setting helps us breathe deeply, listen more clearly, and rest more fully.

What You Can Expect at Ministers Gathering 2026

This year’s gathering is built around connection, encouragement, and renewal.

  1. Heart-centred Worship

Not performance. Not pressure. Just space to be with God.

  2. Meaningful Messages & Conversations

We’re not gathering for information—we’re gathering for transformation.

  3. Time With People Who Understand Ministry Life

People who won’t ask you to explain why you’re tired. They already know. And they’re walking the same road.

  4. Space to Rest, Reflect & Reset

Between sessions, gatherings, and shared meals, there is room to breathe and to simply be.

  5. Community That Strengthens Us All

When we come together, the whole District becomes stronger. Churches are encouraged. Leaders are renewed. Communities feel the impact.

  6. Time and Space for Spouses & Families

We love having families join us. This is a gathering where everyone is welcome and valued.

The Theme: “Limitless Call”

This year, we’re focusing on the limitless nature of God’s call. Not limitless in terms of workload or demand. But limitless in:

  • love

  • grace

  • strength

  • possibility

  • and the power of the Holy Spirit

Many leaders feel like they’re up against limits: time, energy, budget, people, momentum. But God’s call has always been about what He can do through willing hearts. This gathering is an invitation to step back into that truth and rediscover hope.

A Friendly, Heartfelt Invitation

So here’s my invitation to you—simple and honest:

Come join us.
Come reconnect.
Come laugh again.
Come breathe again.
Come sit with leaders who will celebrate you, pray with you, and walk with you.
Come, let God renew the calling you carry.

You don’t have to show up polished. You don’t have to arrive with everything figured out. You don’t have to pretend you’re not tired.

Just come as you are. Come ready to receive. Come prepared for God to meet you. Come ready to be reminded that you belong—not just to your church, but to a community of leaders who care deeply about you.

Make the Space — You Won’t Regret It

I’ve never heard anyone say, “I wish I hadn’t gone.” But I’ve heard many say, “I wish I hadn’t waited this long to come.”

So let’s gather.
Let’s encourage one another.
Let’s worship together.
Let’s dream together.
Let’s remember why we do what we do.

Ministers Gathering 2026 in Banff.

You belong here. We’d love to see you.
