The search committee says, “We want to have more influence in this community for the kingdom of God. Will you come and help us?”
Who could resist responding to that kind of invitation?
Chantal and her husband Jordan moved to Nipawin in 2012 to serve as co-lead pastors. They were passionate for the church to be a relevant and caring community of people who love to celebrate together and work hard to make their community the best place to live!
Would the church be willing to make changes, take risks, and surrender the “we’ve-never-done-it-that-way-before” kind of thinking? The church said, “That’s what we want!”
However, once they started making changes so that the church wasn’t focused on a small group of insiders, they found themselves in some very intense meetings.
